MEETING NOTICE
The May meeting of MIFDI will be held on WEDNESDAY, MAY 27, 2026 hosted by Boston MedFlight located at 150 Hanscom Dr at Hanscom Field Bedford courtesy of MedFlight Training Coordinator Mary Arredondo. MIFDI’s last visit to MedFlight was in November 2012 and was one of our more popular meetings.
The presentation will include safety procedures when operating around the aircraft at incident scenes weather at a designated LZ or in the middle of Rt.495. We need to understand what is expected of us at the scene to help the pilots when landing and taking off as well as for the safety of firefighters and EMS members.
Following the presentation, we will be given a brief tour of the new MedFlight facility which includes the helicopters, a medical fixed-wing aircraft, ground transport ambulances, and an on-site sim-lab.
SCHEDULE: 0930 Coffee, 1000 Presentation, 1130 Facility Tour, 1200 lunch (off site)
DIRECTIONS: From I-95 (Rt.128) take Rt.2A (Exit 46B). Follow 2A west to Hanscom Dr. At the end of Hanscom Drive, continue straight around the rotary, (Do NOT take the road to the Air Force Base.) the new MedFlight HQ will be located on the right. There is a large parking area for us across the street.
