MEETING NOTICE

The next meeting of MIFDI will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 hosted by the Waltham Fire Department courtesy of Chief Andrew Mullin. We will meet in the Waltham 9-1-1 Center 2nd floor training classroom located at 171 Lexington St. between the Central Fire Station and the Police Dept. MIFDI last met at Waltham in November 2018.

Our training will be on a new “Emergency Plug” created to shut down power to electric vehicles. When plugging it into the power charging port, it causes the vehicle sense it is in the charging mode and shuts down the operation. This prevents the vehicle from accidental starting and moving during emergency situations.

DIRECTIONS:
From Rt.128/I-95, take Exit 43A (Old Exit 27A) Totten Pond Rd. Follow Totten Pond Rd to the end and turn right on Lexington St. follow Lexington St a short distance and you will see the Municipal Center on the left. Enter the driveway to the left of the fire station, the 9-1-1 Center entrance is behind the firehouse on the “D-side” of the 9-1-1 Center.

PARKING:
Members are asked to enter from the “D” side of the Central Fire Station and park along the fence down towards the training tower and in the training tower lot behind the fire station.
