The next meeting of MIFDI will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 hosted by the Newton Fire Department courtesy of Chief Gino Lucchetti (NOTE: THIS IS THE THIRD WEDNESDAY). We will meet in the first floor training room at Fire Station 4, 195 Crafts St at the corner of Watertown St (Rt.16). MIFDI last met at this location for our June 2014 meeting.
The training program will be provided by a rep from HOLMATRO with a presentation on the new cordless tool products, including; extrication equipment, roof saws and a “Ripper” tool. Some of the features of the battery powered JAWS include; maximum spreading distance, maximum spreading force, maximum pulling force, and rapid deployment. The advantages also include; no fuel, no cables, no fumes, and no noise.

DIRECTIONS:
FROM RT.128/I-95: Take Exit 37A (Rt.16 EAST). Follow Rt. 16 (Washington St) aprox 2-miles. After passing the police station and court house, stay in the left lane due to Rt.16 bearing left onto Watertown St. Continue on Watertown St for 1-mile and the firehouse will be on your left.
FROM THE MASS PIKE: Take Exit 127 in Newton Corner. Follow Washington St WEST aprox 1-mile to Crafts St on the right (Whole Foods Market on the corner). Continue down Crafts St to the firehouse on the corner of Watertown St.
Parking is available on the BRAVO & CHARLIE side of the station. Also free parking on both sides of Broadway directly behind the station off Watertown St
