The September meeting of MIFDI will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 hosted by the Wayland Fire Department courtesy of Chief David Houghton. We will meet in the first floor training room at the Wayland Public Safety Building, 30 Cochituate Rd. (Rt. 27). MIFDI last met in Wayland for our November 2004 meeting.

Our training program will be provided by Captain Timothy Choate of the Sudbury Fire Department and MFA Instructor. Tim will present abbreviated version of his popular presentation for first responders on A.S.H.E., Active Shooter/Hostile Event. In this violent world we now live in with both foreign and domestic acts of terror, the question is not “if”, the question is “when” our members will respond to a hostile event in our community or to help a surrounding community overwhelmed by a mass casualty from an active shooter.

From I-95/Rt.128 take Exit 26, Rt.20. Follow Rt.20 WEST aprox 5-miles to Rt.27. Turn right on Rt. 27 and the Wayland Public Safety Building is on your right. There is parking on the Millbrook Rd. side of the complex. Try to leave the front parking spots available for department business and for any of our members with mobility issues.

0930: Coffee, 1000: Presentation, 1130: Association Meeting, 1200: Lunch (off site).
