The November meeting of MIFDI will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 hosted by the Waltham Fire Department courtesy of Chief Paul Ciccone (NOTE: THIS IS THE THIRD WEDNESDAY). We will meet in the Waltham 9-1-1 Center 2nd floor training classroom located at 171 Lexington St. between the Central Fire Station and the Police Dept. MIFDI last met in Waltham for our November 2014 meeting.
Our training will be provided by MIFDI member Captain John Bonadio and Lt. Kevin Ciccone. They created a presentation on the challenges faced by the members of the Waltham Fire Department on July 23, 2017 when a massive fire destroyed a large apartment project under construction. The complex consisted of five-5-story interconnected buildings totaling 264 units built of light-weight wood construction. This presentation was created to educate other departments with lessons learned by their experience.
From Rt.128/I-95, take Exit 27A (Totten Pond Rd). Follow Totten Pond Rd to the end and turn right on Lexington St. follow Lexington St a short distance and you will see the Municipal Center on the left. Enter the training room from the ‘D-side’ of the 9-1-1 Center.

Members are asked to enter from the ‘D-side’ of the Central Fire Station and park along the fence down towards the training tower and in the training tower lot behind the fire station.
