*UPDATE* – The February meeting has been canceled due to the presenter having a family emergency. We will reschedule this for another month. Sorry for the last minute cancellation but it was too late to schedule another presentation in short notice.
The February meeting of MIFDI that was scheduled to be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 (NOTE THIS IS THE THIRD WEDNESDAY) has been canceled (see note above). The meeting date was changed so not to conflict with the FCAM Professional Conference during the fourth week.
We will be hosted by the Andover Fire Department courtesy of Chief Michael Mansfield. Chief Mansfield will provide an informative insight of the major gas incident that occurred last September severely challenging fire departments in Andover, Lawrence and North Andover. This catastrophic incident gained national attention as a massive amount of mutual aid was deployed to the Merrimac Valley during the incident and the subsequent days following the incident to provide relief and assistance for these communities overwhelmed with hundreds of gas related calls.
We will meet in the Memorial Hall Library meeting room, 2 North Main St in the center of town.
