The April meeting of the Massachusetts Institute of Fire Department Instructors will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. We will be hosted by the Arlington Fire Department courtesy of Chief Robert Jefferson and MIFDI member Captain Dan Kerr. We will meet in the training room on the lower level of their recently renovated historic octagonal fire station located at 411 Massachusetts Ave.

Our training program will be provided by Acting Chief Gerard Mahoney of the Cambridge Fire Department. Chief Mahoney will offer a presentation on the operations and challenges faced by Cambridge firefighters on December 3, 2016 at the 10-alarm fire involving eleven buildings in a congested East Cambridge neighborhood.

SCHEDULE:
0930: Coffee, 1000: Presentation, 1130: Business & training updates, 1200: Lunch (Off site).

DIRECTIONS:
From I-95/Rt.128, take Exit 29-A to Rt. 2 East. Follow Rt. 2 to Exit 59 (Rt.60). Turn left at the traffic light onto Rt.60 East. Turn right at the traffic light onto Mass Ave. and the station will be a short distance on your left. There is plenty of on-street parking along Mass Ave and on Broadway. There is also a large municipal lot behind Saint Agnes Church on Medford St.
